Bridge Park is set for a makeover, its first improvements since construction in 2008. The Bridge Park Improvement Plan is waiting for a new line of funding, after updated cost estimations came in high above what was calculated in 2019, Sylva Public Works Director Jake Scott said. Earlier estimates were in the $450,000 range, and Scott said, the pricetag has now risen to about $750,000. A timeline for when construction will begin is up in the air right now, he said.
