A fugitive wanted on nearly two dozen warrants in Western North Carolina is now in custody. Ronald Lee Peak was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Monday. The 42 year old was wanted in Henderson, Buncombe and Haywood Counties. Investigators say when Peak was found he had over an ounce of meth, 9 grams of fentanyl and nearly 4 grams of cocaine. He now faces additional charges for trafficking meth and fentanyl in a school zone and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Peak is being held in Buncombe County on a more than $1 million bond.
