We’re less than three weeks out from Thanksgiving. So where’s the BEST place to spend it?
WalletHub.com just posted its rankings for the best cities to be in for Thanksgiving this year, and Atlanta took the top spot. (The last time they did the list in 2019, Atlanta didn’t even make the top ten.)
They based it on 20 metrics spread across three categories: “Celebrations and traditions” . . . “safety and accessibility” . . . and how affordable everything is.
Atlanta ranked first partly because it’s got the highest number of Thanksgiving events per capita. So, things like parades and turkey trots. But three cities in Florida, and two in North Carolina also made the top ten.
The ten best cities for Thanksgiving this year are: Atlanta . . . Orlando . . . Scottsdale, Arizona . . . Miami . . . Raleigh, North Carolina . . . Virginia Beach . . . Las Vegas . . . Tampa . . . Greensboro, North Carolina . . . and Louisville, Kentucky.
San Antonio is the most affordable city for Thanksgiving, followed by Oklahoma City, and Raleigh is third.
Of the 100 cities they looked at, San Bernardino, California ranked last overall, followed by Detroit and Newark, New Jersey.
