Only 40% of People Regularly Wear Sunscreen
Memorial Day weekend is basically the unofficial start of summer . . . at least in terms of spending time and cooking outside. And the grill isn’t the only thing that’s cooking. You are too.
In a new poll, only 40% of people say they regularly wear sunscreen outside during the summer . . . and just 16% say they “always” put it on.
32% of people say they slap on some sunscreen “some of the time,” and 25% claim they NEVER put it on.
Young adults in their teens and 20s are FAR more likely to protect their skin . . . more than half of them say they wear sunscreen regularly, while just 25% of folks 65 and older wear it regularly. Only 13% of young adults risk “never” wearing it, while nearly 40% of Boomers say they never bother.
In another poll, 27% of Americans say they burn “very easily,” and another 37% say they burn “somewhat easily.” 8% of people claim it’s VERY hard for them to get sunburned while outside, and another 22% say it doesn’t happen often.
