Man Identified in Bryson City Animal Cruelty Investigation

The Bryson City Police Department has identified and filed charges against an individual from North Carolina accused of cruelly throwing a puppy from a moving SUV outside an animal shelter. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old David Paul George Jr., was named in connection with the incident. On September 8, surveillance footage captured a man opening and closing the passenger door of an SUV, gesturing towards the ground, and then callously discarding a puppy through the window. This shocking incident occurred right outside PAWS Bryson City, an animal shelter in North Carolina. The motive behind David Paul George Jr.’s alleged actions remains unclear. However, he now faces legal consequences, including charges of animal abandonment and cruelty towards animals. His court appearance in Swain County is scheduled for September 26th.
