A new survey found people who wear their headphones in public go an average of FIVE WEEKS without having a meaningful conversation with someone new.
47% of headphone wearers said they take them on walks . . . 29% almost always wear them on public transportation . . . and 15% said they use their headphones every day now. For people under 25, it’s 30%.
Just under 40% even admitted they keep their headphones on in public specifically to avoid talking to other people.
