The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has been approved for a nearly $500,000 grant to create a drug treatment program for inmates. Commissioners approved a Memorandum of Agreement between the Sheriff’s Office and Department of Public Safety for the funds at this months regular meeting on May 16th. The JCSO has not said when the program will be up and running.
