Swain County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man on two attempted murder charges. Jeffrey Tyler Huskey, 31, is facing two counts felony attempted murder, and two counts misdemeanor child abuse, stemming from the alleged assaults of a woman whom he threatened with hedge trimmers in front of her young children, and a man police say he threatened to run over with his SUV. Huskey is currently being held in the Swain County Detention Center on a $220,000 bond. A court appearance in Swain County District Court is scheduled for May 16th, 2023.
