A previously unreleased PRINCE album is coming out on July 30th. It’s called “Welcome 2 America”, and it was recorded in 2010.
According to a press release, it documents Prince’s, quote, “concerns, hopes, and visions for a shifting society, presciently foreshadowing an era of political division, disinformation, and a renewed fight for racial justice.”
In the title track, Prince rants about golden parachutes, social media, reality-TV celebrity culture, and corporate monopolies
