On Friday, following a shooting incident in Swain County, a young individual was transported via helicopter to an Asheville medical facility. Swain County Sheriff Curtis Cochran has reported that the incident took place in the Bryson City vicinity on Friday evening. Cochran has noted that the shooting appears to be self-inflicted; however, authorities are presently in the process of ascertaining whether it was accidental. Fortunately, the victim’s prognosis is positive, and they are expected to recover.
