Sylva 4th of July Update
The sixth annual July 4 fireworks in Sylva will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The fireworks should begin at dark (generally around 9:45 p.m.) and are visible from various locations throughout downtown Sylva and the immediate surrounding areas.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions on crowd gatherings set in place by our Governor, there will not be a concert, food trucks or children’s activities at the Bridge Park this year. There will be no formal program, gathering or event at the Bridge Park for this year’s fireworks festivities. There will simply be fireworks shot in Sylva at dark.
The fireworks are organized by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

“We could not possibly have fireworks in Sylva without the help and support of our friends at the Town of Sylva, Jackson County Permitting Office (Tony Elders and Doug Painter), Jackson County Commissioners, and the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department,” said Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie Donaldson.
“Most importantly, the fireworks this year and the last five years have been provided largely in part by our friends, members and partners/sponsors in the community,” Donaldson added.
