Good news on the jobs front. Jackson County’s unemployment rate dropped to 3.2 percent, down .3 percent from September and 2.3 percent from October 2020. The unemployment rate decreased in 83 of North Carolina’s counties in October, with more than 20, 000 people back to work. The state unemployment rate for November will be released next week.
