Harris Urology is pleased to welcome Kara Cummings, FNP-C to our team of medical professionals. Kara is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, born and raised in WNC.
Kara received her degree from Carson-Newman University, with a Master of Science in Nursing. She is dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care to all of her patients.

When asked about what drew her to becoming an FNP, Kara shares, “I chose to become a nurse practitioner after going on a mission trip to Honduras as a nursing student. I decided I wanted to be able to do more for my patients on a more advanced level, such as diagnosing and treating. I treat many urological disorders ranging from prostate health to incontinence to urological cancers.”
