Cullowhee, N.C. – One of three national finalists for the 2025 Walter Payton Award, presented by Stats Perform FCS, Western Carolina redshirt sophomore quarterback Taron Dickens was today named to the 2025 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) All-America team. Dickens was the second-team selection at quarterback after playing in nine of the team’s 12 seasonal games, yet still composing a record-breaking season offensively.
