Harris Regional Hospital and Western Carolina University formally renewed their partnership Tuesday, with the hospital continuing as the exclusive healthcare partner of Catamount Athletics.
Representatives from both organizations signed the renewed agreement during a ceremony at the Ramsey Center in Cullowhee.
Through the partnership, Harris Regional will continue providing WCU student-athletes with sports medicine and orthopaedic care, athletic training coverage, rehabilitation services and other healthcare resources aimed at supporting their health, performance and recovery.
The renewed agreement also expands Harris Regional’s visibility at Western Carolina athletic events. The hospital’s logo will appear on Catamount sports jerseys and will receive placement on the football field.
Harris Regional has described the partnership as part of its continuing commitment to the health and well-being of Western Carolina student-athletes.
