Everyone Who Has Weighed in on the Ashley Tisdale-Hilary Duff Mom Group Drama Who Isn’t Directly Involved
The hottest gossip right now is the drama between Ashley Tisdale and her “toxic mom group.” To recap: Tisdale – bylined under her married name French – wrote an essay in The Cut, detailing her falling out with other mothers she considered friends, ultimately deciding to text their chat saying she was done with the circle. “Here’s the hard-earned lesson I hope you’ll take to heart: It’s not the right group for you. Even if it looks like they’re having the best time on Instagram,” she said.
Following the release of the article, people quickly pointed out that the High School Musical star was likely referring to fellow celebs Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore and Meghan Trainor, among others. Then, it snowballed. Tisdale’s reps denied that she was writing about those celebrity moms. Duff’s husband Matthew Koma got involved with a clap back of his own on Instagram. Hilary’s sister Haylie Duff liked Tisdale’s post promoting the story. Moore posted support for Koma, Trainor weighed in, too. Hilary herself remained unbothered, only posting about her upcoming music during the initial kerfuffle. (Read a full breakdown of the drama here.)
But it’s definitely been a big topic of pop culture conversation. Fellow Disney star Christy Carlson Romano offered her thoughts. Chelsea Handler jumped in. The View hosts discussed it on a weekend episode of their show. Even a Real Housewife and Glee actress had something to say.
So here’s everyone who has shared what they think of the drama so far – who isn’t directly involved with the group itself or related to one of its members.
