Meet Hoka! His adoption is sponsored for the month of August!

Hoka is a 1 year old neutered male Siberian husky who weighs 43 lbs and has been here for 41 days. He is very sweet and playful and will play fetch, but he doesn’t always return the ball or he may bury it instead. He loves to zoom around the play yard and has a good amount of energy to burn off. He is a little mouthy but does good about not jumping up once in the yards. He can be a little reactive towards dogs through the fence, but will relax once he’s been in the yards for a bit. Meet and greets with other dogs are highly recommended. If you would like to meet Hoka, call the shelter or stop by!

Barkley is a 5 year old neutered male who weighs 42 lbs. Barkley was surrendered to us a couple of weeks ago and we’re still getting to know him. He came in already neutered, so he’s ready to go home. Barkley is nervous here so we haven’t seen his true personality shine yet, but he is sweet and fairly calm. He hasn’t shown an interest in toys and would rather sniff around the play yards. He’s out of the puppy stage, so if you’re looking for a more mature and calm dog, Barkley is your guy. He seems to like other dogs through the fence, but meet and greets are always recommended. For more information or to meet Barkley, stop by or call the shelter!

"Jack Jack may come across as shy and wary at first, but those tender eyes just radiate the desire to love and be loved.

He has made some impressive progress here at Sarge's and has grown particularly fond of staff and volunteers who have dedicated their time and efforts towards showing Jack Jack that he can trust humans.

We think Jack Jack would do wonderful in a home where he can have the space to feel things out at his own pace. He appears to be comfortable around some fellow pups, but we would require a meet and greet with potential four-legged friends."

He has to be in a responsible adult-only home. He would also prefer to be in a home without cats and would need to meet your dogs first before officially coming into the family.

Meet Luke! Luke is a 2.5 year old neutered male who weighs about 65-70 lbs. Luke originally came to us as a stray at the beginning of January and has since been in and out of foster and adoptive homes, but is back at no fault of his own. Luke is a good dog but he’s had no consistency in his life, so he’s been stressed with each transition. Luke needs someone who is willing to make a promise to Luke to be his forever home this time and give him time to acclimate to his new environment. It may take him extra time due to his history of being passed around. He is a big sweet goofball who doesn’t know his own size. He would benefit from some basic leash training and obedience, as he does pull on leash and jumps up because he wants you to love on him. He also loves car rides. He has been on a walk with Lily (also looking for her forever home) and they enjoyed playing together on leash! He’s been in homes with other dogs before, but may be on the selective side, so meet and greets are highly recommended. If you would like to meet Luke, stop by or call the shelter!
Ask about free basic training being offered to Luke’s adopter to help him acclimate to his environment and learn basic skills!
