Taylor Swift Joined in Skybox By BFF Selena Gomez For First Time to Cheer on Fiancé Travis Kelce As Chiefs Season on Brink

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have been friends for more than 15 years. But Sunday (Dec. 7) marked the first time the BBFs took in a Kansas City Chiefs game together. Swift was on hand, of course, to cheer on her fiancé, Super Bowl-winning Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, whose team was facing a do-or-die game against the Houston Texans.

Fans posted pics of the two singers chilling in a luxury box during the grudge match that was won 20-10 by the Texans, with the Chiefs falling to 6-7 and, most likely, on track to miss the playoffs for the first time in a decade. It was the fifth time Swift has attended a Chiefs game since the couple announced their engagement in August.

When not busy on her global Eras Tour, Swift has a regular presence at Chiefs games over the two years. And while she has been joined by everyone from rapper Ice Spice to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, and Kelce’s parents in the skybox, Sunday’s game was the first where she was accompanied by longtime pal Gomez. Swift most recently showed up to watch Kelce during his team’s thrilling home win against the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 23, where they won 23-20.

And while the once high-flying Chiefs have been brought to earth this season with a losing record and a possible seat on the couch during the playoffs, Swift’s winning ways on the charts continue, as her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart dated Dec. 13, up from No. 3 a week ago, marking its eighth nonconsecutive week atop the list.
