Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina redshirt sophomore Tyler Jones made the most of his first event for the Purple & Gold, claiming the first Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week honor for all tournaments played Sept. 3-10, the league office announced on Wednesday. The Charlotte transfer led WCU to a fifth-place showing at the Golfweek Fall Challenge by recording a podium finish at the par-72, 7,013-yard True Blue Golf Club in Pawley’s Island, S.C.
