NFL Heating Up
Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady announced his departure on Tuesday. Indications are he will be will possibly land in Florida. Brady wrote a complimentary departure letter to Patriots fans and to the Kraft family for whom he has worked his entire NFL career. It was also reported Tuesday the Carolina Panthers had granted permission for Cam Newton to seek out suitors for a trade. General Manager Marty Hurley stated “One of the distinct pleasures of my career was selecting Cam with the first pick in the 2011 draft. Every year difficult decisions are made and they are never easy. We have been working with Cam and his agent to find the best fit for him moving forward and he will always be a Carolina Panther in our hearts.”
The legal start of the new NFL season will be Wednesday at 4:00. President Trump is reported to have communicated with NFL executives to keep the season on track with the hope the coronavirus will have run nits course before the season starts in September.
