The votes are in and the debate about JCPS middle school athletics bumping heads with school-based athletic teams appears to have been resolved. It was a 4-1 vote in a Motion to continue with district middle school athletics as they currently operate, and school board members voted 3-2 for a Motion to retain school-based athletic teams, with the clarification that district teams will be prioritized over school teams in regards to facilities. In a third Motion, 2 voted in favor of, while 3 were opposed to retaining school-based athletic teams with no conditions.
