High Point, N.C. – Freshman Ethan Long and sophomore Ericka Jackson led a solid opening day performance for the Western Carolina track & field team on Friday, logging second-place finishes in the 100-meter sprint and women’s javelin throw, respectively, as action opened at the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point University’s Vert Stadium.
