A fifth person has been arrested in a missing persons case out of Union County that is now a homicide investigation in Jackson County. William Mulenex, 39, of Brevard, was arrested Friday March 31st, in connection with the murder of 37-year-old Alison “Ali” Thomas. Thomas was initially reported missing on Feb. 17. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported on March 5 that a body had been found on national forest land and was later identified as Thomas. Officials say all suspects charged and arrested in this case remain in custody. This homicide investigation is ongoing and detectives continue to request that anyone with additional information contact law enforcement.
