You have a boss. I have a boss. Everyone you know has a boss. And it turns out we’d ALL be better off if they just got the hell out of our way.
A new study out of the University of Pennsylvania found that people do smarter, more accurate, and better work when there’s not one boss . . . and everyone has the same amount of influence.
The researchers say it’s because a boss feels the need to weigh in and make decisions on things where they’re NOT an expert . . . they just feel like it’s their role. And that brings down the overall quality of the work.
