The Waynesville Apple Harvest Festival will go on this year, despite COVID-19 concerns. Festival organizers say things will look dramatically different this year, however, The event permit was approved by the Waynesville Town Board on September 8th. The festival will take place October 17th from 10am to 5pm along a stretch of downtown Waynesville’s Main Street. This year, there will be limits on vendors, allowing only about 100 in total. Festival organizers and even police officers, will be monitoring crowd sizes and limiting walking traffic to only one way.
