David has been the General Manager of WRGC since April of 2005. His duties include overseeing the day-to-day operations and account management. Mr. Skinner began his career in radio in the early seventies, and sold cable advertisements for about seven years in Georgia. He is a native of Mississippi, and has been married to his wife, Martha, for 43 years. Since, coming to WRGC, David has grown a great passion for Jackson County. Through this passion, his goal for WRGC is “to continue to make WRGC the voice of Jackson County with news, information, and entertainment. Make WRGC part of the community.”
A Waynesville native, Frank started his radio career there in 1972. Frank has done many different jobs in broadcasting including on-air announcer, sales, sports announcing, and program director in Asheville, Waynesville, central Florida, and here in Sylva at WRGC for 2 1/2 years in the early 1980s. Frank currently lives in the Canton area with his wife of 20 years, Cathy, their black lab Baby Bear, and Shadow the cat. Frank loves the mountains of western North Carolina because it is the most beautiful place in the world and the mountain people are the best people you'll find anywhere. Frank is thrilled to be back in Jackson County working at WRGC.
Wiley was raised in Winston-Salem, NC and upon graduating high school he moved to West Virginia where he received a BA in communications from Concord College. Wiley moved back to Winston-Salem in 2001 and started his career at the local NBC affiliate WXII. In his free time Wiley enjoys going to concerts and hiking the trails of western North Carolina.
After many years working in the media world of television, newspaper and radio in South Carolina, Linda and her husband Ernie moved to Western North Carolina. They have seven children and five grandchildren. Linda loves radio. Linda has also co-managed stations in South Carolina, but loves to sale advertising and meet new perspective clients.
Neal relocated to the Western Carolina area in 1996 from Birmingham, Alabama. He has always loved being in the mountains and now feels privileged to be able to call them home. Neal worked in the golden radio era of the 60's before going in to the manufacturing of broadcast equipment. He is enjoying being back on the air 9:00am-12:00pm at WRGC as your mid-day source for great music and information.
Jennifer was born in St. Petersburg Florida and her family moved to Franklin when she was a teenager. She graduated from Franklin High School in 2001 then attended UNC-Asheville graduating in 2005 with a B.A. in Mass Communication. Jennifer is crazy about Walt Disney World and is the ultimate pop culture junkie. She loves football and is a current two time fantasy football champion. Radio has always been a passion and she is incredibly excited to spend everyday at WRGC and with the people of beautiful Jackson County. You can listen to Jennifer from 10- 2 pm Monday through Friday and also you can listen live as she does TRADIO from 12:45-1pm.
Tammie was born and raised in Glenville and graduated from Blue Ridge School. She lives with her husband of 25 years, Jim in Cullowhee. They have a daughter, Amanda , who attends Guilford College in Greensboro NC. |
