Singer of Smash Mouth Is Retiring

Steve Hartwell

After last weekend’s mess of a SMASH MOUTH concert, I must regrettably inform you that singer STEVE HARWELL is retiring.

Steve apologized for his behavior, and blamed it on his ongoing medical issues.  He said, quote, “I’ve tried so hard to power through my physical and mental health issues, and to play in front of you one last time, but I just wasn’t able to . . .

“I cannot wait to see what Smash Mouth accomplishes next and am looking forward to counting myself as one of the band’s newest fans.”

He also mentioned how fortunate he is that he got to live out his childhood dream of being a rock star.
