Mustangs Soccer Face The Other Mustangs Soccer Team

Here we go again. The Smoky Mountain High School Lady Mustangs Soccer team will host the Mustangs from East Lincoln High School on Friday Night at Babe Howell Field. East Lincoln will come into the game with a record of 13 – 5 -3.  They tied Lincolnton twice with scored of 2 to 2 and 3 to 3 in two overtimes and to East Rutherford 0 to 0. Their losses were twice to South Iredell, Lake Norman Charter, Newton Conover, West Caldwell and Dixon.  Their 2 to 1 win over Ashe County on Wednesday allowed East Lincoln to advance.

The Smoky Mountain Lady Mustangs are led by freshman Anna Morgan with a record of over 40 goals in a season and thus breaking the old record of 35 held by (______) Woody .  Smoky Mountain shut out South Stokes by a 6 to 0 score on Wednesday to advance. The Lady Mustangs have a 19 and 2 record and will enjoy the home field advantage on the new artificial turf at Babe Howell Field.  The kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m.
