Peggy- 3-year-old spayed female American English Coonhound. Weighs ~40 lbs but needs to gain weight. Peggy is very sweet, friendly, and very food-motivated. Peggy is not too energetic, but she loves to do what other hounds do: follow her nose and bark. She may not be the best fit for an apartment due to how vocal she is. She seems to be dog-friendly. She is not housebroken, but with consistency and in a home she could be. Unsure about children, but I imagine she would do fine. She is very stressed at the shelter and does not show well in the kennel. She is much calmer once outside.

Meet Hooch! Hooch is a 1 year old neutered male hound mix who weighs about 45 lbs and has been here for 175 days. Hooch is just a big puppy with a lot of puppy mannerisms. He does jump a lot, but that is something that can be worked with. He is a little timid of new people, as he’s had very few visitors in his time here, but he warms up quickly. Hooch loves to play with toys and would play for hours if you were willing to play with him. He seems to like other dogs, but meet and greets are recommended. He’s a sweet boy who really needs a forever home soon. He’s tired of going back and forth from the kennel to the play yard and back. Come meet Hooch!

Meet Levi! Levi is a 10 year old neutered male hound mix. Levi came in a week ago after being found abandoned in his home. So we are still getting to know Levi and are learning more about him every day, but we do know that he is a sweet boy and still has a lot of spunk for his age. He does not seem to be slowed down by his age and still has a lot of love to give! He seems to be a little anxious, which is understandable given the circumstances he was brought in from, and with time, will probably settle into his new environment. He has been fine with other dogs through the fence, but meet and greets are always recommended. To meet Levi, stop by or call the shelter!

Loki is bouncy and has obvious lovable energy that will brighten anyone's day! He enjoys walks, runs, and getting lots of good snacks.

He has to be in a responsible adult-only home that has experience with large breeds. He would also prefer to be in a home without cats and would need to meet your dogs first before officially coming into the family.

Loki has lots of energy, he just needs to learn some manners, and he'll be a superstar.

Meet Goose! Goose is a 2-3 year old neutered male Jack Russell mix who came in as a stray on 2/23 from the Greenway, but we found out some info from someone who owned him at one point (not the current owner). He is very sweet, playful, good with other dogs, good with kids, was house trained (not sure of current status), but not sure about cats. Meet and greets with dogs and children are still recommended. He is not big and is a lap dog (see last few pictures). He also likes toys and is treat motivated. If you would like to meet Goose, please stop by or call the shelter!
