Massage Therapist Convicted of Sex Offenses

A former Jackson County massage therapist pleads guilty to fondling a college athlete. 55-year-old Tony Wachob of Canton was charged with sexual battery and assault on a female after Prosecutors say he was working at Fusion Spa in Sylva in October of 2015.
According to court records, he  touched her breasts and abdomen during a massage. He told investigators she gestured in a way he thought was a call for sexual contact.
Wachob was sentenced last week to 30 days in jail and will have to register as a sex offender for the next 30 years. He will also be on supervised probation for 18 months. A second victim alleged he fondled her in a similar way but chose not to proceed with her case as long as Wachub was convicted.
