After competing a couple of rounds in the recent US Open WCU Graduate and athlete J.T. Poston continued to compete on the PGA Tour this weekend at the Travelers Tournament in Cromwell, Connecticut. For the second tournament in a row par golf was not good enough to make the final cut. In two rounds Poston carded a one under par 143. He finished the final 18 holes with three birdies but a bogey on the eighteenth was costly. In the US Open a couple of weeks ago Poston got off to a horrible start on the front nine but solid golf through the final 27 holes was not enough to overcome the bad start. Poston now ranks 131st on the earnings list with just under $600,000. Dustin Johnson leads in earnings with $6,355,725 after participating in 12 events. In sixteen events Spieth has earned $5,945,990. and in is fourth place. In the Travelers Jordan Spieth’s spectacular shot to birdie with a 61 feet chip shot from the bunker will be on plenty of golf highlight reels for some time to come. Spieth who is only 23 years old joins Tiger Woods as the only golfer since 1983 to win ten PGA Tour events before their 24th birthday. Woods had fifteen wins. The next stop on the PGA Tour is the Quicken Loans Tournament in Bethesda, Maryland.
