A Sylva man is accused of breaking into a Haywood County woman’s home and terrorizing her. According to court documents, two minor children were also present in the home during the ordeal.
Hunter Lee Lewis, 21, faces 18 charges stemming from the incident including violating a domestic violence protective order, second-degree burglary, assault by strangulation, child abuse and assault with a deadly weapon. On the evening of November 12th, Lewis broke into the Ammaretta Revis’ Clyde home and held her family against their will for around 4 hours.
Court records state Lewis held a knife to the pregnant woman’s throat and punched a 10 year old child in the face.
Lewis is being held on $42,500 bond at the Haywood County Detention Center and has a court date scheduled for Nov. 29.
