Travel experts believe nearly 47 million Americans will be traveling for Thanksgiving making this the busiest holiday season in 7 years.
According to Gas Buddy, the national average is at $2.07 — $0.75 cheaper than this time last year.
In North Carolina, there’s an average of $2.04 a gallon. Also down $0.72 cents from last year in South Carolina, the average is $1.84.
Travel experts say these are the lowest Thanksgiving prices in years, and it’s likely they’ll continue to drop for the next few days before the holiday.
Gasbuddy.com expects the national average to hit $1.99 by Thanksgiving — the lowest price in more than a decade.
