The driver who was killed in a wreck in Haywood County Tuesday night has been identified.
Johnny Davis, 50, of Waynesville, hit an embankment and was thrown from his pickup truck around just before 9 p.m. on Highway 74 near the Clyde exit. Davis later died at the hospital.
The exit ramp was shut down for a few hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
Troopers say Davis was not wearing a seat belt and that investigators believe the crash was alcohol-related. No other vehicles were involved and there were no other injuries.
