The deadline to register to vote in North Carolina’s March 15 primary is Friday.
The primary ballot will include races for Democratic and Republican nominations for president, U.S. Senate, state House and Senate, as well as a state bond referendum.
A photo ID is not required to register to vote but will be requested at the polls. A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or government document with a prospective voter’s name and address on it is acceptable for registration, in addition to a photo ID.
Applications can be downloaded at http://www.jacksonnc.org/board-of-elections.html and mailed to 26 Ridgeway St Sylva, NC postmarked by Friday.
