Concerts On The Creek Postponed Until June 26th

On Thursday, May 21, 2020, the organizers of Concerts on the Creek in Sylva made the difficult decision to postpone the beginning of the 11th season of performances until at least June 26, 2020.
Concerts on the Creek organizers (the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Sylva, and the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department) were awaiting the Thursday, May 20 announcement by N.C. Governor Roy Cooper about how Phase 2 of the Covid-19 restrictions would be structured.
At this time, we’ve decided to reschedule the first four concerts until Saturdays later in the season,” said Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie Donaldson. “We’re planning on beginning the series on Friday, June 26, depending on how the Governor structures Phase 3. We’ll keep you posted and look forward to being together again soon!
Concerts on the Creek are traditionally held every Friday night from 7-9 p.m., from Memorial Day through Labor Day at the Bridge Park in Sylva. The performances are free with donations encouraged. Patrons should bring a chair or blanket and prepared to be “Covid safe.” Food trucks are expected to be at some of the concerts.
Updated Concerts on the Creek schedules are available at www.mountainlovers.com or on the Concerts on the Creek Facebook page. These sites will be updated with any changes going forward.
