Cleaning Up the Mountains Receives Donation

The ‘Cleaning Up the Mountains’ litter pickup effort recently received a $1,000 donation from the Jackson County Tourism Development Authority for trash grabbers. This year’s cleanup will take place April 10-24 and also again in September. Pictured are Jackson County Public Works Director Chad Parker, Norma Clayton, who started the cleanup effort, and Jackson County TDA Director Nick Breedlove. “Keeping our mountains ‘Clean and Green’ is a large focus for the TDA this year, and I’m glad our Sustainability Committee and the Full Board supported this effort and continue to make great progress towards sustainability,” Breedlove said.
