Robert Lowe, a Swain County High School graduate, has nearly five years experience in the radio industry. He began at WBHN in Bryson City in 2008, doing everything from being a board op to complete production work. This is his second stint with WRGC, deciding to come back in 2012 as it opened under the new 540 AM. He currently attends Southwestern Community College, but plans to transfer to Western Carolina University to complete his degree in Broadcast Communications. He loves the local area and the region’s people, and especially enjoys working for a radio station where the emphasis is local. He finds it very easy to relate with the local population and has years of sales experience; that is why he is the sales executive for the Swain County/Qualla Boundary area (including the areas of Bryson City, Whittier, and Cherokee) for 540 AM WRGC.
