Janice Burnette was born in Macon County NC and raised in Burke County where she graduated from Valdese High School. She attended college at WCU and received a Masters in Education. She and Roy were married in 1973 and have a son Melvin, and twin daughters Anita and Karen. Janice retired after teaching 32 years at Scott’s Creek School in Jackson County NC. She will be working as Finance Officer for the station.
