Representative Elect Clampitt’s Swearing in Ceremony in Swain County

Swain County native, Representative-Elect Mike Clampitt will be sworn in as North Carolina House of Representatives Seat 119 Representative on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 beginning at 2 pm in the Swain County Heritage Museum, second floor cabin area. The Swain County Heritage Museum is at corner of Main St. and Everett Street in Bryson City and is the former Swain County Courthouse. Judge Hunter Murphy of the North Carolina Court of Appeals will administer the Oath of Office.
A reception will follow the swearing-in ceremony with light refreshments. During this time Representative Clampitt will be available to meet and speak to those in attendance. This is an open ceremony and the public is invited.
